Our partners are well-established community organizations working in the fields of journalism and civil rights.

ARSMIRA http://abh-n.ru/kontakty.html - Association of Mass Media Workers of the Republic of Abkhazia (Sukhum) – was created in 2009. It includes representatives of all independent mass media and also journalists from state-owned media. The Association currently has over 50 members. The Association’s main purposes are: Promotion of democratic values, protection of freedom of speech, protection of journalists' rights, free and equal access to information and information sources, open media dialogue and the raising of professional standards. ARSMIRA holds regular press conferences, briefings and round tables with the participation of high state officials, candidates in presidential and parliamentary elections, experts and public and cultural figures.

ARSMIRA co-operates actively with local and international NGO's and organizations on projects raising public awareness on a range of social issues, such as gender equality. ARSMIRA was also involved in the EU/UNDP funded COBERM project «Implementation of European democratic standards in the sphere of mass-media».

ARSMIRA's work is made possible entirely by voluntary work and contributions from its membership, or donations from the public.

Journalists for Human Rights (Tskhinval) http://word.world-citizenship.org/wp-archive/479 was created in 1998. Membership consists primarily of journalists and currently stands at around 100. The basic purpose of the organization is the protection of human rights in South Ossetia, development of democracy, working towards the construction of a civil society, and a deepening of the cooperation in the field of human rights between South Ossetia and foreign organizations.

Since its foundation, JHR has completed over 30 projects in the fields of human rights awareness, conflict resolution, and support for youth and gender issues.

Media and Society (Poti, Georgia) is a non-governmental association from 2007. Publishes an independent public-political newspaper Resume and serves to the protection of journalists’ rights. Transparency International Georgia (TI Georgia) http://www.transparency.ge/en was established on 7 May 2000 as a local non-governmental organization committed to combating corruption in Georgia through the promotion of transparency and accountability, to serve as the primary source of information on corruption reform in Georgia, to assist the Georgian government and the broader public in facilitating reform in sectors where corruption exists, to build and strengthen institutions and to promote good governance. In recent years, TI Georgia has become Georgia's leading advocacy-based think tank.

Transparency International Georgia seeks to make Georgia a country which is free of corruption in all areas of public society, where people are a part of the policy making process, and where transparency and openness in government and the commercial sector are routine rather than rarities, supporting an engaged citizenry and a vibrant and fair democratic environment.

TI Georgia's main aim is to support building and empowering state institutions, develop good governance and the rule of law, ensure the transparency and direct accountability of the state institutions, support fair and democratic elections (for this aim including election observations) and protect universally recognized human rights, implement charity activities.
